Rebecca asked if I adjusted my goal weight to compensate for the twins recent arrival. I don't really know how much the twins actaully weigh so it's hard to factor them in. Does anyone know how much 450 cc's weigh (times 2 since there are two of them)? I think 140 is a short term weight loss goal, but I'm stating it as my goal to keep things simple. When I reach this goal I'll see how hard it is for me to maintain and how I feel overall. If I find I feel good and I'm not feeling overly deprived I'll see if I can push my way down to 135. I don't remember ever weighing that much so it's hard for me to even phathom but then again I only remember being in the 150's for a blink of an eye during the 6th grade. Good question but I guess I really don't know what the answer is yet. I think it will become more concrete the closer I get. I want to lose the weight and actually stay there unlike the bouncing (down,up,down,up) I've been doing between 148 and 156. We'll see how it goes.
Jenniy I love the elliptical, because it a good full body workout when you concentrate on contracting your abs, using your arms and you change your foot position on the pedals often to use different parts of your leg muscles while on it. That keeps me pretty busy but I also have the help of a good fitness magazine, good music and something interesting on the TV's at my gym. I need all the help I can get. If I can make it past 30 minutes time seems to fly pretty quickly after that.
