Day 13

Day 13:
144.4 - the scale was all over the place. 146.6, 145, 146.8, 144.4, 144.4, so I went with 144.4. Maybe the battery is getting low?

I ran 3 miles for the first 30 minutes. I was driving into the gym and realized that my hip wasn't hurting! So I decided to run. It felt so good. I started at 6.2 and quickly found I was bumping into the console, so I kept hitting the increase speed button until I felt I was at a comfortable stride - 6.6. I was trying to make sure I didn't take off to fast out of the gate and I was watching my form in the window I was running in front of. When it's still dark outside you can see yourself like a mirror:). I usually watch my foot placement and my hips to make sure I'm not off kilter or anything. My hip was fine until about 24 minutes into the run :(. I finished out but it was starting to hurt a bit at the end. I finished on the elliptical and got a good continuous burn but tried to not aggravate the hip too much. Yup I'll be making an appointment on Monday about the left hip. I wasn't wearing my orthodics though because I didn't want to grab my other shoes in my gym bag upstairs. I've already order another pair so I can keep both in both pairs of N1k3 socks I run in. Argggghh! My left heel was hurting too :(. Oh well I'll wait to see what happens.

Z took pics this morning. We looked at the first ones that I took before starting the eating plan and now and there is definitely an improvement, but there is more to go. I tried to look at them clinically but I have to admit I was hoping I looked better than that, but I must be patient - something that I don't have much of - and wait to see what things will look like later. What do I have to lose? I'm only getting better right? I'll post them when I get back. We're trying to head out the door.

I've got my food all packed and my scale, measuring cup, water bottle and pills all ready to go. I've got the invitations and the garbage is out.

Z is trynig to burn a few CD's before we take the "red lady" for a ride to the property. I can't wait! Looking for some R&R and maybe a run on the beach with Z if my hip isn't being too difficult.

It's so beautiful outside!!! It's going to be a wonderful drive.
