Day 1 of meal plan and working out

Day 1:

Changing things up as I've read time and time again diet and exercise are the only sure way to lose weight. I've got the working out down, but I obviously haven't been eating well enough to see th result other than feeling stronger and being a bit more toned. So back to the drawing board I went. I'm now going to eat 6 small meals every 2.5 - 3 hours a day. Hight protein (lean meats, protein shakes, egg whites) and complex carbs (brown or wild rice & green veggies)Following the food plan and working out to see if that will cause the shift I'm looking for. Life is an experiment so that is exactly what I'm doing. You only live once so why be afraid to tinker with stuff? I'm going to give this 7 weeks. I will take V-day off but I'll get right back on.

Working out will still be lifting one body part a day, 5 days a week, and doing 60 minutes of cardio in the am after lifting and then another 45-60 minutes of cardio in the evening. I'm too busy to always fit in the afternoon workouts and it was really starting to stress me out, so I've moved the lifting to first thing in the morning and doing my 60 minutes of cardio afterwards. Today was my first official day doing it and I feel great. I need to get to bed earlier though. I went to bed at midnight and got up at 4:30am because I had a Dr. appointment to make this morning before work. I should be able to wake up at 6AM normally though so that should help.

Day 1:
5AM - 30 minutes of lifint for chest and ab work
5:30AM - 60 minutes of intense elliptical w/arms (I left sweat drops on the floor when I was thru - hee hee).

7:35AM Meal 1 - 1/3 cup oatmeal & 3 egg whites,1 whole egg, sprinkle of cinnamon, tsp of splenda, & 1/2 tbsp of SF syrup. Yummy and very filling! I drank my black coffee w/splenda on the way into work. I had my multi vitamin, 2 SF calcium chews, B complex, Glucosamine and Chondroitin, and 1.5 glasses of water as well.

The mornings off to a great start.
