Day 43 -
139.4!!! YES! Guess the hard work and clean eating is paying off. I finally got rid of the bloat and whatnot from last week so that is probably why there was a bit of a flush. Plus I watched my peanut butter intake ;p LOL! OH and I cut out the flax seed oil for the week. I'm not sure I need the extra 110 cals for 1 tbsp. I'll see how I feel and then add it again in a few weeks I think.
AM - 30 minutes of lifting for chest. I have increased the weight and am lifting 4 sets of 8 for the next 2-3 weeks to change things up a bit and challenge my muscles to grow a bit. Left shoulder was giving me a bit of trouble during my incline bench presses with 20lbs but I just watched how deep I brought my arms down. I kept them parallel to the floor and then pushed back up without locking my elbows. That seemed to do the trick.
AM - 60 minutes of elliptical w/arms level 15.
I was going to run but decided the constant arms movement back and forth might further aggravate my left shoulder so I didn't. Plus my legs were a little tired. So I just cranked the resistance and pushed and pulled hard with my arms and legs ;). Seems to do the trick as I always get really sweaty and use my core to stabilize my body so I don't use a swinging motion to gain momentum. It's all about the arms and legs. It's hard when your listening to good music. It's like you want to start swinging to the music, but I just concentrate on pushing and pulling while feeling the muscles I'm using. So far that seems to work.
I'm planning on going to the gym at lunch time to get my PM cardio out of the way just in case Z is still feeling under the weather. He's feeling a bit better, but we'll see how the rest of the day goes. Then he won't be forced to go to the gym after work when he'll be even more tired, because I'll be done - if the day isn't too busy. We'll play it by ear. Worse case I'll take Z home, eat dinner and then head to the gym later.
